JCL parameters • There are two types of parameters: – Positional parameters – Keyword parameters • All the keyword parameters follow the positional parameters. Positional parameters • Are identified based on their position of occurrence • If a positional parameter is omitted, then a comma has to be coded to indicate the omitted parameter. • The replacing comma need not be coded in the following cases: – If the positional parameter omitted is the last positional parameter. – If all the positional parameters are omitted. – If all the following positional parameters are omitted. Keyword parameters • It consists of a keyword and a value. • It is coded as: – KEYWORD=VALUE • It can be coded in any order. |
