TIME parameter • TIME=(minutes, seconds) • Signifies the maximum time that the JOB or STEP can take to run. • It can also be coded in EXEC statement. • If coded in both JOB & EXEC, the smaller among them will be applicable. • TIME parameter specifies the total amount of CPU time that all steps in a JOB can use. • When there is a timeout, the abend is S322. • Format: TIME = {([minutes],[seconds])} TIME= {NOLIMIT} TIME= {MAXIMUM} • NOLIMIT indicates that the job can utilize the processor for any amount of time. • MAXIMUM indicates that the processor can be used for the maximum amount of time i.e. 357912 min. |
