PRTY parameter • PRTY=priority • Assigns priority to the jobs. • Priority numbers range from (0-14) or (0-15) depending on installations. • PRTY = priority is used by JES for queuing the job in the input queue. • Comparing the PRTY parameter of two jobs belonging to different classes is meaningless. • PRTY of 15 gets the highest priority. • Example: //JCL1234 JOB ,,PRTY=12 Here the job will run with priority of "12". |
