REGION parameter • It specifies the maximum amount of memory that can be allotted for the job/step wherever it is coded. • When this parameter is coded both in JOB as well as in EXEC, the one coded in JOB overrides the one coded in EXEC. • The region parameter when coded with a value of 0K or 0M will give any amount of memory that the program demands. • Format: REGION=xx K/M • Example: \\JCLWORLD JOB ,,REGION=0 K/M Here REGION is coded as "0" which implies that program will be provided required amount of memory. |
