Keyword parameter of JOB statement MSGCLASS parameter • MSGCLASS specifies the job output class. • It includes all the messages which are not printed by the job steps that are being executed (i.e. JCL messages and system messages) • A default CLASS is assumed if CLASS is omitted. • The MSGCLASS parameter allows you to assign an output class to your job log Example: //JCL1234 JOB ,,MSGCLASS=X Here, MSGCLASS of the job is "X" which indicates that the job output would be diverted to Spooler. |
