Keyword parameter of JOB statement CLASS parameter • CLASS specifies the job class i.e. the nature of the job. • It is an input queue for holding jobs awaiting execution. • Possible values of CLASS is from A to Z and 0 to 9. • Installation establishes a default class that is in effect if CLASS is omitted. If class is not specify, Default class is considered. • This parameter helps to achieve a balanced processing load on system. Example: //JCL1234 JOB ,,CLASS=A Here, CLASS of the job is "A" |
